One of the earliest US Tolkien societies, founded in September 1966.  The group
continues to meet once a month, every month, on the campus of UW-Madison.  Please

A UK-based, international organization founded in 1969.  The Society publishes a
bi-monthly bulletin,
Amon Hen, along with an annual journal, Mallorn.
First organized in 1975.  The Society's quarterly journal,  the Minas Tirith

, began publication in 1967.
Both of the above sites were created by Åke Bertenstam.  The first lists Tolkien's
published writings from 1910 through 2002.  The second lists books containing
Tolkien criticism published between 1959 and 2004.

20th Century Books is a popular culture bookstore and bookseller formed in 1979
in Madison, Wisconsin by Hank Luttrell, specializing in new, used, and rare science
fiction, fantasy, comics, mysteries, and other related popular culture topics. They sell
